India’s first virtual influencer Kyra has marked her commercial debut with audio brand boAt.
Virtual avatars are all the rage these days blurring the line between reality and fantasy. They have uncanny resemblance to human beings and often are tough to differentiate from humans. And it is being put to good use too. India’s first virtual influencer Kyra is taking the internet by storm on her commercial debut. Dubbed as “India’s first Meta-Influencer”, Kyra has collaborated with audio brand boAt to reveal boAt Rockerz 330 ANC and Rockerz 333 ANC. Surprisingly, the commercial has crossed over 20 lakh views on Instagram and more than 10 lakh on YouTube, in just a few days. She shared the news on her social media handle “Kyraonig” with the caption, “Thank you so much for the amazing response on the #FutureOfAudio collaboration with @boat.nirvana. We have already crossed 2 Million views! Here’s the Reels version.”
Launched by Himanshu Goel of Top Social India, Kyra’s Instagram bio reads “dream chaser, model and traveler”. The account is handled by a team of content creators and collaborates with brands. She has 144,000 followers on Instagram. She looks like a fashionista. She was soft-launched in December 2021, but her official date of birth is January 28, 2022.
Her target audience is the age group between 18 years to 26 years.
The photos and reels of Kyra on social media leaving people stunned. She frequently posts pictures mimicking real influencers like vacation photos, mirror selfies and occasional photoshoots. Users have been surprised to know that Kyra is actually a digital avatar. In March, she also participated in a Metaverse fashion show, where global fashion brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Dolce & Gabbana participated.
Kyra follows in the footsteps of virtual influencers like Rozy or Lil Miquela – a 19-year-old Brazilian-American model and musical artist. Currently, Miquela has over 30 lakh Instagram followers and over 2.8 lakh YouTube subscribers. She is also dealing with labels like Calvin Klein and Prada.
